The European Bioenergy Research Institute requires a Business Engagement Officer to join an academic and operational team to work with research groups and business.

The successful candidate will promote the EBRI ERDF project to regional businesses and help develop bioenergy and energy systems opportunities by delivering support and assistance to West Midlands businesses through briefings, consultations, seminars, workshops and demonstrations. The role is required to work closely with academics and technologists in EBRI and other University departments as well as other business development professionals to support new industry related business and collaborative research projects.

You will report to EBRI’s Project Manager and work closely with a wide range of research teams both in EBRI and in the wider university.

Experience in research related business engagement and development especially in bio-energy, energy or energy systems would be advantageous, however the candidate will also need to be able to work with computer science, logistics and life sciences. Ideally you will have a degree in marketing or a business discipline and/or substantial relevant experience.
